For a definitive list of Horror/Thrillers, Zombieland is a safe, obvious pick. You could call its inclusion boring, but it also helps to balance out some of the morally darker titles. I like Zombieland, as well as its sequel (which hovers around #1000), but I find its humor to be predictable to the point where it is disposable entertainment and rewatchability is surprisingly low because you remember all the highlights. There’s barely enough story for a feature, so the film relies on the immense charm of its cast, who deliver every chance they get. Looking through the data, I see that the film took a steep drop on They Shoot Zombies last year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was to continue with the new update coming soon. It’s weird to me that there exists a “safe” though still R-Rated zombie film. We’ve come a long way from Romero.
