The best Elm Street sequel is one of the most crowd-pleasing Horror films. A logical follow-up to the first film, with Wes Craven returning to help craft the story and script. This works out how you can defeat Freddy once you accept that you cannot stay awake forever. With a proper effects budget, this delivers a number of cool scenes and unusual images. Chuck Russell was under-appreciated for his use of practical effects. Some have come around on The Blob, and this is just as impressive.
