Bond26 is on the way under the direction of Denis Villeneuve. So the question is simple, which James Bond film would you want to have worked on? Would you want to be there for the beginning (Dr. No) or the immediate follow-ups that became foundational to Bond? What about some of the one offs, like the cult classic with “the other fellow” (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service) or the unofficial one with Connery (Never Say Never Again). Goldeneye would be a tempting choice, relaunching Bond into the modern era with Pierce Brosnan.
I would go a little further and select Casino Royale, mainly because director Martin Campbell already relaunched Bond with Goldeneye, I’m curious to see what he would carry over and what he would do differently to build the franchise around Daniel Craig. I believe he would have a little more freedom now that the producers have confidence in his skills. Plus, there’s the incredible action set-piece that launches the film, Mads Mikkelsen as the villain, and a lot of poker, which is a hobby of mine.
