#419 Sea of Love

Directed by Harold Becker

Year 1989

In the late 80s and early 90s, American cinemas caught the giallo bug, not in terms of style but with some key plot points… a mysterious killer, the murders are linked to sex and the lead detective would fall in love with the main suspect. Few of those films were as entertaining and sophisticated as Sea of Love, written by Richard Price (The Color of Money, Ransom, Clockers) and starring Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin with terrific support by a host of familiar faces, including John Goodman, Richard Jenkins, Michael Rooker and John Spencer.
