Stories of fantastical Horror rooted in socially relevant situations that black men where dealing with back in the 90s, and are still dealing with today. Often comic, occasionally very violent, the film finds a new way to talk about racism, domestic violence and black-on-black crime. Sometimes blunt to the point of being cheesy, with a comic book style similar to Creepshow or elaborate street graffiti. It’s equal parts sincere and angry, and as the film gets darker, it goes for the throat with a combination of real and staged news clips and photos.
